Shabby Chic Flower Brooches

These flower brooches were made from french material, tulle and felt. They are 2 scalloped circles of material ( plus 2 tulle and felt) cut from a cuttle bug and spellbinders. 8- 3" squares folded and stitched. Bling was glued and/or stitched to the center ( button & earring). After assembling them together a  safety pin was sewn to the back.
Inspiration #39
 Inspiration photo at FYI Challenge

The twisted  glass structured and the refraction of light was my  inspiration. The curved fabric was to mimic the structure. A  square earring mimicked the pattern of the windows and the refraction of light. The material frayed giving it a shabby chic look~Enjoy!

  1. A very Happy 16th Birthday to your Daughter. These floral broaches are wonderful Deanna, what a great idea to make them. They certainly go well with the photo this month.
