Autumn Watercolor Card

First thing before I get started I would like to welcome my new followers. I have been missing my friend list because some days blogger lets me see it and other days it is just whited out~go figure. I would like to Welcome and Thank You for following my blog

Fall makes me sentimental. Oh..the smell of school supplies, cold mornings and a schedule.

I am like a kid in a candy store with Distress Markers; I can't decide what color or technique to do first. I have been playing around with: Coloring Directly on Stamp

2 and 3
4 and 5

I colored the Northwoods Stamp with Distress Markers just once. I spritzed it with water between each impression for a total of 5 images. The top image is the first impression. Impression 2 and 3 are still pretty good even though the 3rd image is getting more muted. Impressions of 4 and 5 image and color was too muted and not as defined. So I added some color using markers directly to image on card. Then muted it with an aqua pen. What a fun technique~ENJOY!

Token Cards:

Have you ever wanted to give a small token to someone special but couldn't find the right size card? I wanted to give some flowers to a friend from my garden and made one of these cards to go with it. Well that started a flood of ideas. I call them Token Cards. These are fun and have Limitless Ideas~ENJOY!

FYI Challenge #36: Inspired by the various tones of colors

1 gem, 2 colors of green and 3 layers of flowers

The following is a project that uses up left over scraps. With my Spellbinders and Cuttlebug I sat outside and made a few of these over the weekend. I used labels four and flower head dies. Cut 2 label four die and glue one of ends together and embellished. Examples of some tokens inside:)

Semi Precious Inspiration:

Today is a good day. The picture is the Challenge at For Your Inspiration challenge #36.

I was drawn to the mossy rocks in the photo. Tried several things with paper but nothing worked.

Forgot about this semi precious stone. I loved the earthy feel and mossy color. So I decided to make a pendant with it. I went to my friend's store for supplies. Michelle fixed my wire. I finished the necklace with copper findings(metals), Swarovski Crystals and Semi Precious Stones~ENJOY!

I am also entering my necklace into Farewell Challenge#52 "anything goes" at Craft Your Days Away Challenge. I wish to thank all the wonderful designers for their time and talent~Thank You!

 This day got even better!

OLC Note Of Thanks

Challenge at One Layer Wednesday by Ardyth this week: Make a one layer card inspired by your favorite school subject.

STUMPED...thinking of subjects and no stamps for one layer. I might have to sketch something....yikes.
        THINK    THINK     THINK
Clearing the cobwebs from the brain. I'm remembering all those electives we had to take in high school to graduate: Swimming, Typing, Etc.
 Oh..I have a typewriter stamp...perfect.
Freshman typing class was a favorite subject. But I am afraid it was for the wrong reasons. I remember the teacher told me to chew cool was that in school. I discovered I typed faster and accurate while chewing gum. Plus it kept me from talking to my girlfriends who could type and talk....LOL

The card was masked and stamped with Inkadinkado Inchie and Pumice Stone Distress Ink. I did this until the whole square was covered in Thank you's. Then sponged some more ink all around. Stamped the Typewriter with Archival Black~(Stamp? from Archivers Store). I scored and embossed all around the square to stand out to hide the fact the sentiment(Inchie)is crooked~ENJOY!

Torn Photoscape

I hope everyone had a great weekend and weather. You can feel fall is in the air. The mornings are dark and the crickets are chirping. Reminds me of this photo(before stamping)I took camping two years ago. It was an August morning and a mist was coming off the water when the sun was coming up.

The photo was turned into a Photoscape using Stampscapes Stamps and Archival Ink. The finished piece wasn't used because of smudges. I didn't have the heart to throw it out. Less is More had a Tearing Challenge for Week 81. I have never torn a Photoscape or photo on purpose but thought I would give it a try. Distress Ink was added to the torn edges and photo to give a vintage feel. The photo was adhered to a card. I clipped the 2 corners off and added some twine for interest. I just love how it turned out. I think I am now going to pull out all my undesirable creations and see what becomes of them~ENJOY!

Wilderness OLC

First of all thank you to my friends who follow me and welcome to my new friends who just joined.. It is time for me to play catch up with all the awesome challenges. Okay, first I decided to combine them all into one card.
This card was inspired from our vacation and the beautiful colors of the water.
This is  white card stock folded in half. Using my Martha Stewart Score Board and made a frame using my old embossing tool I found in the bottom of my toolbox. New favorite tool again. I masked off the center and using Tim Holtz's DI ~Salty Ocean,Tumble Glass and Mowed Lawn. Don't those colors shout fun ~love It! Okay back to the card. All the stamps are from Stampscapes. I stamped the canoe in Staz On Black. Then I masked off over the boat and sponged in the water and then added the grass. Then added the Duo Pines and some background color of green. Then I added some clouds using torn paper and inked around it. Removed masked and stamped sentiment.
LOVE the simplicity style and LOVE the scenic stamping. So I am combining my passions and see what happens. I always love to find ways to simplify areas of my life~ENJOY!

The following challenges I would like to enter are:

 One Layer Wednesday Challenge #99
Alternate sample without sentiment :)
I really loved this Challenge over at Simplicity with Susan this week. She gave us a link to her Pinterest Pure Inspiration Board to find something inspiring. I picked a key board. I went outside my usual comfort zone and pick something bold and graphic. I think it turned out pretty good after 6 trials. I dislike sentiments lately I can't line them up even with a grid Great Challenge and I was able to use a gift stamp set I have had for while~ENJOY!
